I got at the office right on time, when I stepped in, the Security guy at reception asked me this is not the time its usually at 9:10 AM, then I showed him the interview call letter. So , he talked to HR on the phone and since it was on loudspeaker, I guess HR told him to give me a written test.
The written test was about some analytical or quantitative reasoning. And the the HR came to collect the test sheet and the form included with it. She asked me some questions , asked my salary expectations and some related to my previous experience. And at that time I was full of energy so I was fervent in answering her questions. Same went with the guy(Phani Madhav) who took technical interview, it was really fun the time it was an interview. I asked me all the real questions which obviously he would. I found him very experience not just in the field of profession but also as some one who could be on a decision maker chair. His questions came based on my resume I, and since I kinda have a twisted path from programming to VFX and getting back to programming. And secondly I have only one company from animation field which he looked at resume and mentioned. Then he asked me questions related to what he is looking for for hiring on ongoing projects. He cought me on two questions where I felt something not sure what he is expecting or what should I say where I managed to settle it up. Like, he asked me if I am open to what I want can go for, instead of being into Python or MEL solving problems and would I go for PHP or JavaScript. Well, I didn't wanted to get into because I have spent lots of time into Python for Maya and for nuke too. Second question he caught me on was that of equation he expected I would use to count number of stars in the night sky, but their was a problem on my end since I spend lot of time into watching astronomy videos or listening to guys of NASA doing astronomy. I explained my situation to him. So then he came up with another tricky question which went on smoothly. So far my experience with the technical guy Phani was really good, if I get into Xentrix I would expect it would be fun working with him. And also with Mayur, one of my friend who referred me at Xentrix , he is very talented as far I know from his work and what my friend Santosh mentioned about him.
