So I have learnt to spot Orion Constellation in night sky, I used to notice three stars close to each other but never bothered what constellation they might be in, the only constellation I knew is Ursa Major and Ursa Minor... only because when I was young as kid my Dad told me its Saptrishi and I did created some interest and use to look at night sky when I was kid and used to say "Ooo Star" ... I remember I also had a book in Hindi my Dad got me on space and planets, it was in Hindi and taught me the size and how much one would weigh on different planet...
So the interest survived even today when I am 30. Maybe because so many things are happening in space exploration that keeps showing up on TV or Internet. Planets has always been my first interest in comparison to stars don't know why but maybe we can walk on them, however little know to masses we humans are made of same stuff stars are made of...
Getting back to today's story... today I came across a post online about Orion, Orion Nebula , Pleiades so I noticed the 3 stars that I was looking at every night is actually part of Orion constellation. Couldn't take any photo don't have a good camera to take a photo of stars though here it is in photo from web and how to spot it. whats more exciting is now I know where is M42 Nebula i.e. Orion Nebula ...
I hope to find someone of common interest and I wish I have a telescope with DSLR soon...
